Sustainable tattooing - Meet Clara Welsh an Eco-Tattoo and carbon neutral tattoo artist

Sustainable tattoos - how Clara Welsh is an eco friendly and carbon neutral tattoo artist

Clara Welsh has been a tattoo artist for 6 years and is known for their signature Neo-Radical, Illustrative and Neo-Traditional tattoos, creating custom and original designs inspired by muses in comics and retro-pop film. Before becoming a resident at The Good Fight Tattoo, they've worked alongside Jeff Ortega at Evil from the Needle tattoo studio.

To help protect the environment, Clara Welsh is an Eco-tattoo artist and totally Carbon Neutral, where possible,  Eco - Tattoo equipment and compostable polymer plastic is used. To be Carbon Neutral, part of the profits from every tattoo are donated to the Cool Earth conservation and One Tree Planted, to plant around 60 trees a month.

Clara Welsh has guested internationally at Melbourne’s Green Lotus and Berlin’s, Rose of No Man's Lands. Plus at well known UK names; Bold Street, Warrington. Black Sheep, Bristol. And Den of Iniquity, Edinburgh. Plus conventions in Berlin, Stockholm, Galway, Brighton and Warsaw.

How are the tattoo products ‘Eco’?

Where possible Eco Tattoo products are used  which are made from biodegradable polymer / natural plastic alternatives. Eco tat safety products are used for clip sleeves, bottle sleeves, ink caps and more.

Totally Carbon Neutral

Choosing which products to turn eco can be a hard pick where few alternatives are currently available. Where Eco Tat products can’t be used. Carbon emissions are offset with monthly a donation to the Cool Earth Conservation and One Tree Planted.
