Interview with German Tattoo artist Fynn for the People

Get to know tattoo artist Fynn Röller-Siedenburg, @fynnforthepeople, travelling from Germany to guest at The Good Fight Tattoo, London, 29th March - 9th April.

Hello.

My name is Fynn and I am an artist, which is still weird for me to write or say.
It still feels a lot more like becoming something than actually being that.
But that’s probably what this is all about, right?

You probably already know that I mostly do drawings and that has been the case for quite a while now.

Basically I have been drawing a lot for as long as I can remember.
And as you might already know as well, putting these drawings on people’s skin was the slight change that made it possible to turn this fooling around into a little something we call a career.

In tattooing, I mostly focus on anatomical drawing, no matter if it is about humans, animals or any creature in between.

I try to provide everyone, who wants to wear my work, with a design that offers the exploration of fun new details time and time again with every look.
(You can still ask me for a back piece though, for real, please do.)

I like walking up to pictures and look at them closely and I enjoy reading comic books a lot so I want people to experience the same feeling of walking up to a painting by merely standing in front of their bathroom mirror.

All this drawing, tattooing and just creating in general is not in pursuit of creating something specific, but more like a necessity to me.

Anyhow, since I am a fan of plenty of other things, my website fynnforthepeople.com will be a place for me to share things, that are not exclusively tattoo related. Moreover, I will use it to dive deeper into some processes behind the finished work for everyone who likes to know a little more about the way I work.

I might even do some interactive projects, who knows?

Unfortunately, I am not entirely able to tell where this will take me as an artist or you as a possibly (hopefully) interested person.

I am confident it will be somewhere and worth our while.

I just try to keep it interesting.

So thanks for visiting and reading this.
It means a lot (to me).

Cheers

Fynn. 2022
