NICK WHYBROW

Nick didn't grow up wanting to become a tattoo artist because it looked like a good career. He was drawn to tattooing long before he ever picked up a machine, fascinated by the way tattoos could completely change how someone was perceived. Growing up around the punk and skate scene of the '80s and '90s, he saw tattooing as more than decoration—it was a form of identity, self-expression and belonging.

After spending years developing his drawing skills, Nick began tattooing in 2003 following an apprenticeship in Colchester. Determined to keep learning, he spent years working and guesting at respected tattoo studios around the world, including Immortal Ink, Skinwear, Two Hands, Salon Serpent, Devils Ink, Parliament and Scapegoat, before eventually settling in London. After more than fifteen years working in the capital, he founded The Good Fight Tattoo in Camden with a simple goal: to create the kind of tattoo studio he'd always wanted to work in.

Although Nick has become well known for his distinctive illustrative and etching-inspired work, he has never believed great tattooing should be limited by style. Years of experience have made him equally comfortable creating Japanese, neo-traditional, blackwork, fine line and completely custom tattoos. More than anything, Nick simply enjoys making great tattoos, solving creative problems and ensuring every client leaves with something they'll be proud to wear for life.

Does Nick only tattoo in an etching style?

Not at all. While Nick is particularly recognised for his distinctive etching work, he has been tattooing professionally since 2003 and enjoys working across almost every tattoo style.

Can Nick design my tattoo from scratch?

Absolutely. Many of Nick's clients come with only a rough idea, and he enjoys developing completely bespoke artwork.

Does Nick do large-scale tattoos?
