A CHAT WITH JORDAN APPLEYARD, ORCHARD TATTOO, ON INFLUENCES FOR SINGLE NEEDLE, FINE LINE TATTOOS, AND LIFE AS A TATTOO ARTIST.

“Hey! My name is Jordan @Orchard_tattoo -  I’m 25 and have been tattooing for around 6 years. 

I put my hand to most styles however I really enjoy tattooing single needle/fine line artwork with a fair amount of detail and texture. 

I’m a resident at Tattooland UK where I started my career. I also work at The Blackhouse Club, Brighton. 

My influences can vary from classic good old traditional tattooing, but also various forms of fine art.

I have always loved tattooing for the art but I love meeting my clients and having a laugh with them. I believe it’s important to create a lovely tattoo, but also give a good friendly experience for every one of my clients.”

“Tattooing has been my whole life for years now and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Even at the lowest point of my mental health, I always have tattooing that makes me feel wanted and whole. I struggle with believing in myself and self worth but I’m slowly getting there with it thanks to my amazing fiancé, friends and workmates. Thank you to you all for getting tattooed by me and showing your love and support.“
